Wrist story

My therapy after a wrist fracture

Monday 5th May

I may have overdone it yesterday, had quite a lot of pain during the night and was still sore in the morning.

Really flared up in the afternoon, had a presentation and it was quite an effort to try to manage the pain, had accute burning sensation on the skin (wrist and low palm) and shooting pain in thumb and wrist, especially on the little finger side.

Tonight I did some arm exercises to try and strengthen my right arm muscles, then rice manipulation and some lifting of wrist upwards.

Did not use the TENS today, would have been useful this afternoon but didn’t have it at work. Still have burning skin sensation but night ‘apparatus’ should help (silicon sheet on scar, silicon mould inside palm and glove).
